I am actively seeking to purchase a dental practice in our area, ideally from a retiring doctor looking to pass on their legacy of quality care.

 

I graduated from OHSU School of Dentistry as the top producer in the pre-doctoral clinic. In my first year post-graduation, I produced just under $1M, and this year I’m on track to reach $1.2M. Prior to dentistry, I was a trained artist with a BFA from Seoul National University and an MFA year at UW-Madison. Through careful reflection, I realized my true passion lay in using my hands to impact people’s lives more directly, which led me to dentistry.

 

While earning my second Bachelor’s in Science, I gave birth to my first child. Despite a five-year delay for permanent residency, I remained committed to my goal—working as a research specialist at UW-Madison’s Davis Lab, performing survival microsurgeries on rodent model under sedation and managing diabetes-related studies.

 

I practice full-scope general dentistry, as well as offer impacted 3rd extractions, periodontal surgeries (FGG CTG CL), implant placement, sinus lifts, GBR and IV sedation.  I also perform endodontics, including molars, and emphasize esthetic and functional prosthodontics when I plan for smile makeovers. I take a comprehensive, whole-mouth, and whole-body approach to treatment planning, and I’m proficient in both traditional and digital workflows.

 

At OHSU, I gained hands-on lab experience designing, characterizing, and staining anterior crowns and veneers under the mentorship of a prosthodontist. I also participated in a study group focused on conservative restorations (3/4 crowns, inlays, and onlays). In private practice, I’ve refined my digital workflow and am comfortable with both digital and conventional impressions.

 

As a mother, I bring patience and experience in working with pediatric patients. I continually pursue CE to advance my surgical and clinical skills, with particular interest in periodontics and implant dentistry. I’m actively involved in OAGD’s Master track, implant study club, perio study club, OS study club, Sleep study club and other local CE groups. My father, former president of the Korean Dental Association, modeled lifelong learning—something I strive to emulate.

 

I’m passionate about general dentistry because of the variety and opportunity to serve families across generations. I cherish the relationships I build with my patients and treat each one as a whole person—not just a set of teeth.
